Book Description:

She’s an award-winning winning actress and he’s an average guy just trying to get by…

Fresh out of police officer training, newbie cop, Hunter Wilde, takes an off-duty gig working special events at the Tawnee Mountain Resort to earn a little extra cash to supplement his public servant’s salary.

Katie Lawrence is Hollywood’s hottest sweetheart. With her second Oscar win before the age of twenty-five she’s all Tinseltown is talking about.

When Katie attends a wedding at the Tawnee Mountain Resort with the notorious bad-boy Olympic gold snowboarder, Devon Black, he’s more interested in bedding the bridesmaids than he is in being with Katie.

So Katie tries to find solace in the personal security guard assigned to her by the resort…the reluctant Hunter Wilde. He’s not impressed with Katie’s stardom and he definitely doesn’t want to get involved with a drama queen…but Katie manages to steal his heart when he least expects it.

A Wilde Night is the third book in the Old Town Country Romance series. It can be read as a stand alone novel or as part of the series.

My Book Review:

Welcome back to rural Old Town, NJ, home of loud trucks, cold beer, country music, and the hot Wilde brothers!

In each book of the Old Town Country Romance series, Author Savannah Young weaves an entertaining romantic tale that tells the story of each of the four Wilde brothers: Cooper, Jake, Tucker, and Hunter.

In Wilde Night, Author Savannah Young once again calls upon her NJ roots as the reader is transported back to the small rural town of Old Town, NJ, where this time the focus is on Hunter and Kat's story. Told in the first person narrative, the reader follows Tucker and Kat as their heartwarming and emotional romance unfolds like a classic country song.

Hunter is your classic small town country boy, who is a rookie on the Old Town Police Department.

Katie Lawrence is a small town girl from Phillipsburg, NJ, who is a two time Academy Award winning Hollywood actress and America's Sweetheart. Katie hasn't been in control of her own life since she became one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood six years ago. She wishes she could go back to the simpler times back home in NJ when she was just a laid back country girl named Kat.

Katie and Devon Black, her on/off Olympic gold medalist snowboarder boyfriend arrive in Old Town, NJ to attend the wedding of Devon's twin brother Danny at the posh Tawnee Mountain Ski Resort. While off-duty from the police department, Hunter works a security detail for the special event at the resort as Katie's personal security / bodyguard. When Devon is caught having sex with one of the bridesmaids, Katie decides to ditch the wedding and spend the weekend with Hunter at his family's bar, Haymakers, where he and his three older brothers' band Wilde Riders have a gig. As Katie becomes Kat, sparks start to fly between her and Hunter, but can something more come out of their weekend together, even though they come from very different worlds?

I absolutely loved reading Hunter and Kat's romantic story. You can't help but get drawn into their lives, and embrace the beauty of how their relationship quickly develops. I loved the protective instinct that Hunter has for Kat, his kind and tender heart simply made me smile. With drama, humor, and romance, Hunter and Kat's connection is based on being small town people, one that tries to overcome the media frenzy that is Katie's Hollywood life, but can they have a future together?

Hunter and Kat's story is about two people who learn to let go of their doubts about being from different worlds in order to find the courage to open up their hearts to love. Not only are Hunter and Kat perfect for each other, they simply complete each other!

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the brotherly bond, support, and antics of the other three charming Wilde brothers and their girlfriends, that is once again interwoven in the storyline like it was in the other books in the series. Even tough this is the third book in the series, it can be a stand alone read as the author does interweave the other Wilde brothers' backstories within this storyline. But do yourself a favor and read the books in sequential order so that you can fully appreciate each of the sexy Wilde brothers individual stories, you won't be disappointed!

A Wilde Night is an emotional and romantic tale that has a fun cast of characters, witty and humorous banter, drama, and a sweet and spicy romance set to a country theme.

RATING: 4 STARS
